May 2025 - NICU Outreach

In May 2025, our Sy Church family came together for a simple yet deeply meaningful outreach—packing gift baskets for families with babies in the NICU at Catawba Valley Medical Center. We know that having a newborn in intensive care can be one of the most difficult and emotional experiences a parent can face, so we wanted to offer a tangible reminder that they’re not alone.

We met at the church at 11:00 AM to pack each basket with love, care, and encouragement. As we assembled the gifts, we took time to pray over every basket and every family that would receive one, asking God to bring peace, strength, and comfort to their hearts. Once everything was packed and prayed over, Jordan and a few team members delivered the baskets to the hospital on behalf of our church. Because of hospital policies, only a small group was able to deliver them, but the love and support of our entire church family went with them.

This outreach may have been simple, but its impact was significant. It reminded us that sometimes the smallest gestures can bring the greatest hope. We’re so thankful to everyone who helped pack, pray, and love on these families during such a tender time. At Sy Church, we’ll continue to look for opportunities to step into hard moments with compassion and care.
