February 2025 - Strong Life Rescue Mission

At Sy Church, we believe in showing up with both compassion and practical care—and our February 2024 outreach was a beautiful example of that. After giving out over 50 backpacks to the homeless at Strong Life Rescue Mission last January, we originally planned to do the same this year. But when Strong Life reached out with a need for a church to serve breakfast, we knew it was a divine opportunity to do even more. So on February 8th, we combined our backpack outreach with a hot breakfast for the residents at Strong Life.

Our team arrived at 9:00 AM to prepare and serve breakfast by 9:30, creating a warm and welcoming space for connection and conversation. After everyone had eaten, we handed out backpacks filled with essential hygiene items like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, razors, ointments, snacks, and more—practical tools for those navigating life without stable housing. The breakfast was generously sponsored by a Sy Church member, allowing us to focus completely on serving with love.

It was a powerful morning of ministry as we sat with, served, and prayed over our neighbors in need. We’re so grateful for every volunteer who signed up and showed up with open hearts. This outreach reminded us that even small acts—like a warm meal or a bag of essentials—can carry the love of Jesus in ways that deeply impact lives.
