December 2024 - Angel tree

Every child deserves to feel seen, loved, and remembered—especially at Christmastime. For our December 2024 outreach, we were honored to partner with Angel Tree, a ministry that helps incarcerated parents stay connected with their children through the simple yet powerful gift of a Christmas present. Each gift came with a message from the child’s parent, reminding them they are loved and never forgotten, even in difficult circumstances.

Throughout the month, our church family came together to sponsor gifts for children whose moms or dads are currently in prison and unable to provide a present themselves. Angel Tree gave these parents the opportunity to fill out cards with their child’s name, age, and a personal note. Our members then picked out and brought in gifts specifically chosen for each child. These presents were delivered just in time for Christmas, bringing joy and hope into homes that might otherwise feel the sting of absence during the holiday season.

This outreach was a beautiful reflection of the heart of Jesus—bringing connection, dignity, and love to families navigating hard seasons. We are so thankful for the generosity of our church community and the opportunity to stand in the gap for parents who long to bless their children but can’t do so physically. At Sy Church, we remain committed to meeting real needs and sharing the hope of Christ in every season.
