October 2024 - Hurricane helene

The love of Christ is most powerfully expressed through action—especially in times of crisis. That’s why for our October 2024 outreach, we partnered with Samaritan’s Purse to provide hands-on relief to those affected by Hurricane Helene. Over the course of the month, we sent out two dedicated teams on separate dates to serve storm survivors in hard-hit areas, working alongside disaster response crews to meet urgent needs and offer hope to families facing overwhelming loss.

From removing debris and damaged materials to offering a listening ear and praying with homeowners, our teams showed up ready to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Many of the people we met had lost so much—homes, belongings, and a sense of normalcy—but through each interaction, we saw God’s comfort and strength at work. It was humbling to step into such sacred moments with those grieving and rebuilding, and to be a part of bringing restoration not just to homes, but to hearts.

This outreach was a reminder that the church is not confined to four walls. As a church family, we are committed to stepping into broken places with compassion, faith, and practical help.
